Characterization of Staphylococcus aureus ST3320 clone causing fatal respiratory infection in rabbits

چکیده
Staphylococcus aureus is a well-known pathogen that infects humans and animals. However, information on the fatal respiratory infection in rabbits caused by S. still limited. In present study, S. isolate designated ND01 was recovered from lung samples of died infection, characterised by intranasal rabbits, multi-locus sequencing typing, screening virulence genes testing antimicrobial susceptibility. Clinical signs matted forepaws pathological lesions haemorrhagic tracheitis necrotising pneumonia were observed infected which identical to those naturally ones. The sequence type defined as ST3320 further grouped into clonal complex 398. Notably, pvl-positive carried human-associated scn gene. Moreover, methicillin-susceptible susceptible 6 10 tested antibiotics. This study described characteristics causing rabbits. results are helpful understanding pathogenicity aureus clone also highlighted operators must be alert for colonisation potential transmission events between humans.

Alteration of sleep in rabbits by Staphylococcus aureus infection.
Abundant evidence suggests that sleep might be altered during infectious disease, although the relationship between sleep and infectious disease has never been examined systematically. To address this issue, we determined the effects of Staphylococcus aureus infection on rabbit sleep. Rabbits inoculated intravenously with S. aureus demonstrated the expected physiological changes consistent with...
متن کاملLocal Immunization of Rabbits to Cutaneous Infection with Staphylococcus Aureus
1. Bacterial filtrates were prepared by the methods described by Besredka, but these never developed any specific growth-inhibiting factors. 2. Such filtrates produced a strictly local immunity of the areas of the skin infiltrated but such protection was never greater than that produced with the broth from which they were prepared. This immunity was manifest within 8 hours and persisted at leas...

background: the aim of this study was to investigate the antibiotic susceptibility pattern as well as the phenotypic and genotypic biofilm formation ability of staphylococcus aureus isolates from patients with urinary tract infection (uti). methods: a total of 39 isolates of s. aureus were collected from patients with uti. the antibiotic susceptibility patterns of the isolates were determined b...
متن کاملMethicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus USA400 Clone, Italy
To the Editor: In the past 30 years, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has been the leading cause of nosocomial infections throughout the world. Healthcare-associated MRSA (HA-MRSA) isolates are resistant to multiple antimicrobial drugs. This resistance severely hampers treatment options. During the past decade, MRSA isolates have also emerged as major pathogens in the communit...
